Michael is a recognized expert in the field, with over 15 years experience in information security and investigations. Michael’s professional experience includes several leadership positions in the medical, public accounting, technology, finance, and pharmaceutical industries. During his time with AIG he designed the IT Risk Management group for the Personal Lines Division. At Clifton Gunderson Michael created and led the Information Security Solutions group under the assurance umbrella. Now as owner and managing director of Aspire Risk Management Solutions, he has taken his experience and has created a risk management coalition utilizing his resources as well as secured partners to tackle just about any issue. He has led and worked numerous fraud and other investigations some very notable. While in the corporate world, developed and implemented security policies, compliance programs, disaster recovery, business continuity, digital forensics and technical security assessments.

Mr. Christenson is the founder and President of NextWave Consulting, Inc., a network consulting firm serving the New York, New Jersey and Philadelphia markets for over 11 years. NextWave Consulting, Inc. provides quality, client focused, high level consulting services to companies that require timely, accurate information and communications infrastructures.
Mr. Christenson has more than 29 years experience in Information Technology. After serving 6 years in the U.S. Navy in computer support roles, Mr. Christenson worked many years at one of the nation’s premier Systems Integration firms, SHL Systemhouse, Inc. (purchased in 1997 by EDS). Mr. Christenson filled many technology design, implementation, and management roles at SHL - as well as managing large IT staff.
Mr. Christenson’s wide range of expertise led to his role of Director of IT at The Hillier Group, a large architectural firm based in Princeton, NJ. Mr. Christenson was engaged to rebuild the computer and support services infrastructure at Hillier. Throughout his 29 years, Mr. Christenson honed his expertise in Project Management, Microsoft enterprise solutions, network security, policies, firewall technologies and anti-virus strategies.
